One Foundation of Medical Intuition

“Medical Intuition” means the ability to access mental, emotional and spiritual patterns affecting physical health. It sounds mysterious, but a major component of Medical Intuition is something everybody already has: the ability to pay attention. Presence. Even if our minds wander, we still have presence. Our mind is totally present—somewhere else! Ever take a long drive and forget how you got from Point A to Point B? “Highway Hypnosis” leads us to different places inside ourselves. Through concentration, these places become more real than the open road.

When we find ourselves doing six things at once, presence allows us to keep them straight. Most of the time, we take our brains for granted. We walk, talk and plan, rarely wondering how we manage to do these things. We overlook complex rules that separate conversation from background noise. Putting ourselves on autopilot, we gloss over the countless skills and choices that form each “simple” task. Yet, without an underlying presence, our lives would fall apart.

Human beings multi-task from the moment we wake up until the moment we fall asleep. And when we sleep sometimes we become even more present than in waking life. Ever notice how much bigger, louder, and more potent things appear in dreams? Everything intensifies, and we observe it all. Awakening from intense dreams, we gasp, “But it seemed so real!” Our sense of something’s “realness” is directly proportional to our degree of presence. Usually, the more senses we incorporate the “more real” the experience seems. Sometimes a single smell, sight, taste, sound or feeling overwhelms us, drowning out all other senses. The sheer power of that experience makes a strong sense impression.

By making us hyper-aware, presence allows us to use both our intellect and intuition. Medical Intuitives remain extremely present when reading a client. They engage all their senses, going deeper and deeper into the experience. They listen to what someone says and what they leave unsaid. They look with their eyes, and if they can see auras or energy, they look for anomalies. Smells might trigger memories or ideas, and sometimes taste suggests an illness or solution. They feel for heat, cold, prickles, static, pain, love, or fear. In this state of complete concentration, nothing interferes as a distraction.

Intuition connects everything gathered by the senses. Listening even more keenly, clairaudients might “hear” a word or phrase that points them in the right direction. Clairvoyants might “see” another person, event or vision. Empaths pay such close attention that they replicate in themselves what the client feels. This opens empaths to feelings the original feeler might have missed. Medical Intuitives rapidly gather and process this information. Their brains catalog and compare the content, looking for repetitions. They remember case histories and search for synchronicities, even ones that occur outside of sessions. Anomalies and patterns grab their attention, until finally things grow clear.

Since we all have presence, Medical Intuition stands out mainly due to focus. Medical Intuitives zoom in on the body and its surrounding energy field. Like mental photographers, they record and display what already exists. When photographers look at life, the same basic scenes exist for them as for other viewers at that time and place. By using different lenses, filters and techniques, photographers can reveal things missed by the naked eye. A telephoto lens allows them to zoom in closer; a polarizer lets them see through water; fast shutter speed captures moments that would normally be lost in motion.

Through practice, photographers learn which lenses, filters and speeds work best under certain circumstances. They learn where and how to aim their camera. Photographers also become present to opportunities for interesting shots. Like Medical Intuitives, they look for anomalies. By focusing and learning which tools to use when, they surprise us with truths that lay hidden in plain view.
